Description

Working across glassmaking and oil painting, Thomas Pearson’s practice engages themes of the human figure, loss, grief, and fragility, drawing on both personal experience and universal narratives informed by his research in the field of psychology.

His current body of work, Clepsammia, focuses on reconsidering hourglass form in figurative and hot-sculpting glassblowing processes. This unique, one off piece features water as the kinetic element and a subtle blue-green colour gradient.
