Description
These three works expand on Bolaji Teniola’s Daedalus Table Lamp (2025), and reflect his focus on material reuse. Through this body of work, Teniola interrogates the perceived value of waste timber as a viable material for contemporary design, a process he began during his time as a JamFactory Associate.
These new additions to the Daedalus series comprise of timber scaffolding, wrapped in hand-planed strands of pine. Constructed from timber commonly used for load-bearing applications such as wall and roof framing, Teniola highlights the often-overlooked innate beauty, using every part of the structural pine to produce this latest series of luminaires.
