Danielle Brustman & Edward Linacre invite you to explore their new Meteorite V collection, inspired by the trajectory of a meteorite’s fall from outer space. The conical form of each object references the transformation of matter into a cone shape, as it passes through Earth’s atmospheric layers, when the forces of gravity and velocity exert themselves on the falling celestial bodies.

The Meteorite V collection comprises furniture and lighting – complementing the existing collection of floor-based sculptural lights – and together form a poetic response to dynamic encounters. A new range of Meteorite colours is inspired by cosmic and astral spectra and now combines a mirrored surface.

Danielle Brustman and Edward Linacre have been collaborating since 2021. In high demand as individual practitioners, their collaboration finds a common ground of play, realised as objects with theatricality, clean forms and nuanced use of colour. Brustman’s interior and object design has been described as joyful in her bold use of block colour, leaning into unexpected and alluring combinations and contrasts; while Linacre is renowned for his otherworldly, luminous creations and the development of progressive biodegradable and recycled materials. Their first collaboration, Meteorite was a finalist in the Australian Furniture Design Award 2022 and has become a departure point for the duo, exploring its permutations to shape different object typologies.
