Description
Symphonic Object II suggests sculpture as something that can hold rhythm and tone, much like music. Layers of beeswax and encaustic paint give the surface a rich, almost luminous quality, with soft textures and subtle colour shifts. The title hints at harmony, yet the form resists being perfectly balanced; it feels alive, as if improvising. This tension between order and openness is central to Stackhouse’s work, inviting us to see sculpture as a kind of score, full of movement and possibility.
